I got laid off my job awhile back so I've been temping since, my last assignment I had a 4 hour commute each day... Which I must say got a little tiring since I didn't have time to do anything else.

Oh, and my rat bastard of a husband left me the day before Thanksgiving for a Mexican whore the size of a SUV... that was lovely... Happy Holidays to me!!! It sorta hit me hard, I wasn't really expecting it, it was a month before our 10th wedding anniversary... and we'd been together for almost 13 years all told. I always thought I had one of the "good ones" but it just shows that men are pigs and not to be trusted. (Except for Viggo and Chris Jericho... they are too yummy to be bad) And the worst part of it was he didn't even have the guts to tell me to my face that he was leaving me... he left me a note on a scrap of the envelope to the phone bill that said "Jess- I think you know or have an idea. I'll call you later. Don't do anything at my work. -Paul" nice eh? and his calling me happened over a month later... and to add insult to injury he had the balls to tell me that he still loves me. HELLO! If you loved me you wouldn't have left me for a whore! And he tried to blame the fact that he's an alcoholic on me... which was basically the only thing we fought about... his partying and drinking... so it's my fault... ok whatever... soon it'll be the whore's fault I'm sure. I wish just for once he would have taken responsibility for his own actions. But on the bright side... he's not my problem anymore...

So anyway... enough about the jackass... another reason I was MIA for so long is that the monitor on my computer went out, but I now have a new computer which has a hard drive like 20 times the size of my old one and is WAY faster! whooo wooooo! zooom zoom zooom!

I also got called for a job from temp agency today, this one is actually a temp-to-hire one and is MUCH closer, it's mostly customer service... which thrills me to no end because I just LOVE people (can you taste the sarcasm?) But it's good money so if I get it, I'll deal. lol. Anyway, I'll post how it goes. In the meantime... Party On!

Oh, and I also deleted alot of my former posts that were my thoughts on Raw, I wasn't keeping up with them, and I decided that my rantings should be more rantable! lol.

Michael Moore is an assclown... and other political thoughts

So Fahrenheit 9/11 was number one in the box office this weekend. *barf* I'm sorry, but Michael Moore's 15 minutes of fame was over Loooooooooooonggggggggg ago. He needs to buy a clue and join Kato Kaylan in the guest house already. I wouldn't give that man a dime of my hard earned money. And it's not because the movie is anti-Bush. I wouldn't see it even if it were about former President Clinton. I believe that even if you don't like the man who holds the office, the President of the United States is entitled to a certain amount of respect. Even Bill Clinton, who I personally didn't care for, had my respect. The President is first and foremost, a human being, they are going to make mistakes, it's a given. I know I couldn't do the job, and I know DAMN well that Michael Moore couldn't do the job.

That's a big problem I see with our media today, they don't show any respect for anybody. The whole Bill Clinton/Monica thing... we should never even have known about it... it was none of our business. The Iraq war, you only ever see on the news the bad stuff, like prisoner abuse, bombings etc. I've heard on several occasions different stars that have gone over to Iraq to entertain the troops talking about how the media never shows the good we are doing. They never show the schools & hospitals we are building, the business' we are helping people start to support their families, the training of a effective and fair police force. They don't show the families who aren't afraid that Saddam is going to kidnap their children and torture them to get at their parents, the mothers who aren't worried that Saddam's sick-ass sons aren't going to rape and torture their young daughters. The people that can now speak their minds without fear of being killed. Even the protesters who want the US to leave admit that because of us they have the freedom to protest. The media has no respect for work our troops are doing, they just gleefully report on how many have killed, and prisoner abuse. They twist these sick Al Quada/Al-Jazeera freaks beheading of innocent people into being somehow our troops fault, saying that it's payback for the prisoner abuse. I call Bullshit! What about 9/11? What prisoners were we abusing then? I use the term abusing loosely, at least we didn't behead them and post the video on the internet. And no, I don't believe that two wrongs make a right, but this prisoner "abuse" angle has gotten way out of hand. The media can't keep trying to blame what these psychopaths are doing on our troops.

Today we turned over control to the Iraqi government two days early. Nanana boo boo to the terrorists who had plans to disrupt it. heh!

I don't like the fact that the President is in Turkey for the next couple of days. I just have a bad feeling about it. There's too many world leaders there right now, it's like dangling candy over a diabetic child, you just know these Al Quada/Al-Jazeera bastards aren't going to be able to resist trying something. I know there's probably tons of security and everything, but I don't think I'll rest easy until this Nato summit thing is over. The thing that has worried me ever since the election is that every president that has been elected in a "zero" year has been assassinated or had an assassination attempt on them, and with the state of the world as it is... it's scary.

But anyway... now that I've ranted, I just wish that both political parties and the media would start doing whats best for our country, and not whats in their best interests. Yes, the dirt sells more on tv and has more shock value, but at what expense? How many American's are disillusioned with our military and our government based on the crap they've been spoon feed by the media? Why can't they report some of the good too? It wouldn't hurt the ratings that much... it might even give them a boost, I know I'd watch more.

Goodbye Mr. President

If you don't know that former President Ronald Reagan died over the weekend, you're likely living in a cave and don't have internet access to be reading this anyway. I was truly sadden to hear of Mr. Reagan's passing. He did however have a very full life, he was 93 years old and accomplished things that most of us will only dream of. He suffered from a disease that IMO is the worst disease in existence today. It's worse than AIDS or Cancer, at least with those diseases you still retain who you are, alzheimer's robs you of the fundamental thing that makes you who you are, and I can't think of a worse fate. You can make a donation to the Alzheimer's association for Alzheimer's research in Mr. Reagan's name here.

"It is up to us...to work together for progress and humanity so that our grandchildren, when they look back at us, can truly say that we not only preserved the flame of freedom, but cast its warmth and light further than those who came before us."
-Ronald Reagan, 1982

Porky & the Playstation

Ok, a school in Massachusetts is banning cupcakes and sweets from birthday celebrations to "shift the focus onto the child and not the food." Then they go on to say "Childhood obesity is a national issue. Anything we can do to help our children eat healthier is a step in the right direction." Ok, call me crazy, but I don't think this will help the fat kids. When we were kids, we weren't overweight, and it was just 3 simple words our mother said to us: "Go outside and play" ok, that was four words, but you get the point. And it wasn't that we didn't have stuff we could do inside, we had cable TV and Atari and we ate tons of junk like every other red-blooded American kid. If more parents would unplug the playstation and teach Porky Jr. how to ride a bike he might shed a few pounds. Cutting out kids carbs and sugar just gives them even less energy to maybe possibly get their plump hineys off the sofa. Stop plunking your kids in front of the TV because you don't feel like watching them if they go outside and play. TV is a pleasant distraction, not a babysitter. If you didn't want to watch your kids, you shouldn't have had them. If I was a kid at that school I'd be pissed, a sticker and a pencil for a cupcake is hardly a fair trade.

I want to ride my bicycle bicycle bicycle

Gotta love Queen. I haven't ridden a bicycle regularly for I don't know how many years... at least 15 or so. So, I bought a bike last night. A powder blue Huffy Beach Cruiser. I have arthritis in my knees, so I was prepared for my knees to hurt this morning after riding it, what I WASN'T prepared for was my ass hurting! My bum really hurts, I don't recall that particular discomfort as a child, and I must admit, I'm a little bitter about it. There should be a warning on the bike: "May cause ass discomfort in people over 25". I also got a nice size bruise just above my right knee. I rapped it on the seat while trying to swing my leg over the bike, before making Paul lower the seat for me. He has some fancy-smancy $400 Giant so he thinks he knows everything about bikes and how they should be adjusted. I don't care how they *should* be adjusted, I want to be able to touch the ground from the seat. I don't want to crash into the blackberry bushes because he says that you should only be able to touch on your very very tippy toes. Screw the tippy toes. I want full sole contact with the pavement.

My friend Vicki made this for me... See what I have to put up with? He wants everything and just has to spend the very last dime. Drives me nuts. To say the least I was exhausted after shopping with him. Though, he did find me
buttered popcorn Mike & Ikes... hmmmm... yummy.

I finally solved this silly thing.
Give it a try and see if you can. Anyway, I'll sign off with a new tag I made yesterday...
